What it is
FreeA yantra is a sacred diagram used for focus and meditation. The nine Navagraha yantras are magic squares: every row, column and diagonal adds up to the same total. Each belongs to one planet, and your yantra is the one for the planet of your Birth Number.
Why it matters
Traditionally a yantra is used as a point of focus while chanting the planet's mantra, most often on the planet's own day of the week. It is a practice for attention and intention, not a cure or a guarantee.
How the app works it out
The Sun's square is 6 1 8 / 7 5 3 / 2 9 4, and every line adds to 15. Each planet after it in the Navagraha order adds one to every cell, so the totals run Sun 15, Moon 18, Mars 21, Mercury 24, Jupiter 27, Venus 30, Saturn 33, Rahu 36 and Ketu 39. Your Birth Number picks the planet: 1 Sun, 2 Moon, 3 Jupiter, 4 Rahu, 5 Mercury, 6 Venus, 7 Ketu, 8 Saturn, 9 Mars.
What you see in the app
- Your Birth Number's yantra, with a switch to your Life Path's or any other planet's
- The line sums, and a Trace through the square
- The planet's mantra and its day of the week
- When to use it, how to sit with it, and an intention to hold
Open Yantra in the app, worked out from your own name and date of birth.
