Vedic Grid

Your birth date on the Indian 3-1-9 grid, with your Driver and Conductor added.

What it is

Free

The Vedic Grid is the Indian numerology chart. Your numbers are placed in a 3 by 3 grid: 3, 1, 9 on top, 6, 7, 5 in the middle and 2, 8, 4 below. Each number stands for one of the nine planets: 1 Sun, 2 Moon, 3 Jupiter, 4 Rahu, 5 Mercury, 6 Venus, 7 Ketu, 8 Saturn and 9 Mars.

Why it matters

A number that appears shows a quality you can use easily. A number that repeats shows one that is loud in you, a strength that needs balance. A missing number is a quality you build with practice rather than a flaw.

How the app works it out

Every non-zero digit of your birth date goes in, plus your Driver (birth day reduced to one digit) and your Conductor (the whole date reduced to one digit). The Driver is only added for a birth day of 10 or more, because for days 1 to 9 the day digit already is the Driver. It does not use your Kua number and is laid out differently from Lo Shu, so a number can be present in one grid and missing in the other.

What you see in the app

  • Your 3-1-9 grid, each copy of a number marked by where it came from: birth date, Driver or Conductor
  • A switch between the full grid and your birth date digits only
  • A reading for each planet by how many times it appears, with ways to build a missing one and balance a repeated one
  • What your rows and columns say about thinking, feeling and doing
  • How your grid was built, step by step
