What it is
FreeRahu (4) and Ketu (7) are the two lunar nodes of Vedic astrology. In numerology Rahu stands for ambition, new ground and worldly drive, and Ketu for detachment, insight and inner knowing. The Karmic Axis reads how these two show up in your Vedic Grid.
Why it matters
Together they describe how you balance wanting more with letting go. Both present means you can hold the two; one without the other shows which side comes naturally and which one to practise.
How the app works it out
It counts the 4s and 7s in your Vedic Grid, which holds your birth date digits plus your Driver and Conductor. The result is one of four states: both nodes present, Rahu leads, Ketu leads, or both nodes open. It uses your numbers only, not a birth chart cast from your time and place of birth.
What you see in the app
- A balance beam weighing Rahu against Ketu
- How strongly each node shows in your grid
- The reading for your state: both present, Rahu leads, Ketu leads or both open
- What each node stands for
Open Karmic Axis in the app, worked out from your own name and date of birth.
