What it is
FreeAnk Jyotish Dasha is the planetary period system of Indian numerology. Life runs in chapters ruled by the nine planets in turn, each for as many years as its number. The Maha Dasha is the chapter you are in now.
Why it matters
It shows the tone of the chapter you are in, and how its planet sits with your own Driver and Conductor numbers and your Vedic grid. It describes tendencies, not fixed events.
How the app works it out
The first chapter starts from your Birth Number at birth, and each planet rules for its number of years: Sun 1, Moon 2, Jupiter 3, Rahu 4, Mercury 5, Venus 6, Ketu 7, Saturn 8, Mars 9. The nine chapters add up to a 45-year cycle that then repeats.
What you see in the app
- Rings showing the chapter cycle, with today marked
- A verdict for the period: Favourable, Mixed or Demanding
- The planet's colours, day and mantra at a glance
- The chapter's reading, and the periods inside it
Open Maha Dasha in the app, worked out from your own name and date of birth.
