Your Driver is the Birth Number, taken from the day you were born. It is instinct, and it runs your daily behaviour. Your Conductor is the Life Path Number, taken from your full date of birth. It is direction, and it decides where you end up.
Why the pair matters more than either number
When the planets behind your two numbers are friendly, your daily habits feed your long term direction. Progress feels natural and you get more result per unit of effort than the people around you.
When they are opposed, you spend energy on simply being yourself that other people spend on their goals. Nothing is wrong with you. The two halves of your chart are pulling in different directions, and knowing that is more useful than another list of your traits.
The direction of the pull
Planetary relationships are not always mutual, which is the part most readings leave out. One number can respect the other and get nothing back.
That asymmetry explains a lot of one sided struggle that otherwise gets written off as bad luck. You keep serving a direction that never quite serves you back, or your instincts keep undercutting a goal you genuinely want.

The app scores the pair out of 100 across five factors worth twenty points each: planetary harmony, energy polarity, element harmony, expression gap and karmic load.
The score measures agreement rather than quality. A high score means your instincts and your direction want the same thing. A low score means they want different things, which is harder and tends to build far more range in a person. Because each factor is shown with its reason, you can see which part of your chart is carrying you and which one is quietly draining you.

What if my Driver and Conductor are the same number?
Then instinct and direction agree completely. Life tends to feel coherent and focused, with the trade off that you have less internal range and can be quite narrow in how you approach things.
Can a low alignment score be fixed?
It does not need fixing, because it is not a fault. What helps is knowing which of the two is stronger in a given situation and letting that one lead, rather than trying to satisfy both at once.
