Your Lo Shu Grid places the digits of your date of birth on the three by three magic square. Numbers that appear show the strengths you were born with, numbers that are missing show what you have to build, and numbers that repeat show where you are strongest or overdo it.

How the Lo Shu Grid is calculated

Write down every digit of your date of birth, ignoring zeros.

Add your Birth Number if you were born on the 10th or later, then your Life Path and your Kua number.

Place each digit in its cell of the square: 4 9 2 on top, 3 5 7 in the middle, 8 1 6 at the bottom.

Empty cells are your missing numbers. Cells holding more than one copy are your repeated numbers.
Example for 05-03-1990
- Digits: 0, 5, 0, 3, 1, 9, 9, 0
- Zeros dropped, leaving: 5, 3, 1, 9, 9
- Box 5 gets one 5. Box 3 gets one 3. Box 1 gets one 1. Box 9 gets two 9s.

Questions
Why does the grid ask for my gender?
The grid includes your Kua number, and the Kua number depends on gender. Everything else comes from your date of birth.
Is a missing number bad?
No. A missing number is a quality you were not handed at birth, so it takes conscious practice. Many people with missing numbers develop those qualities strongly because they had to work at them.
