Birth Number (Mulank) Calculator
Your Birth Number, or Mulank, is the day of the month you were born on, reduced to a single digit. Someone born on the 25th has Birth Number 7, because 2 + 5 = 7. It describes how you act on instinct, before you have thought things through.

How the Birth Number is calculated
- 1
Take only the day of the month you were born on, from 1 to 31.
- 2
If it has two digits, add them together.
- 3
If that still has two digits (as 29 gives 11), add again until one digit is left.
Example for someone born on the 28th
- Day: 28
- 2 + 8 = 10
- 1 + 0 = 1
Birth Number 1
Questions
Is Mulank the same as the Driver Number?
Yes. Mulank is the Hindi name and Driver Number is the term used in Vedic numerology. Both are your birth day reduced to one digit.
What is the difference between the Birth Number and the Life Path Number?
The Birth Number uses only the day you were born and describes your instinctive behaviour. The Life Path uses the whole date and describes the direction of your life. Most readers look at both together.
